Hey everyone! I'm thrilled to announce that Rush Keys Deluxe is now up to date as of June 28th, 2024. This update brings significant enhancements and refinements to ensure you have the best possible experience with these iconic sounds. What's New? All Moog and Taurus sounds have been meticulously recreated and refined using Mini V4, the latest version of Arturia's Minimoog. Additionally, all presets, including the Oberheim ones, have been reviewed and polished. While I haven't recorded a demonstration video yet, I'm excited for you to experience these updates firsthand. Important Notes When I first launched Rush Keys Deluxe in 2023, I primarily used headphones to craft the sounds. However, this approach had its limitations. When I reviewed the sounds using my Roland KC350 amp , I noticed that many sounds were missing some mid-highs and highs. This discrepancy occurs because headphones place the speakers right next to your ears, making mid-highs and highs sound louder. For this 2024 update, all sounds were crafted and reviewed using my Roland KC350 Keyboard Amp with a flat EQ. While some may find the sounds too bright when using headphones, Rush players typically use bass or keyboard amps. My goal is to optimize all sounds to be battle-ready. Personalization and Versatility Each person has their own taste in sound. Some prefer more filtered tones, while others might have some hearing loss in the top end and usually make sounds very bright. To accommodate these preferences, I've included both darker and brighter options for many sounds. You might find that some sounds seem brighter than they should when played solo. However, within the context of a band mix, those highs are crucial for making the sounds cut through. New Features and Changes Mini V4 introduces a fantastic "Drive" knob that wasn't available in Mini V3. This long-overdue change adds the power, girth, and meanness that Moog Taurus sounds are known for. All sounds that have the acronym MGT are Moog Taurus Sounds. I've also removed the choir sounds. Users who didn't own the V Collection had to download the demo version of Augmented Voices to access these samples, which proved to be more hassle than it's worth. There are plenty of excellent free choir sounds available online that you can use instead. Future Plans Many of you have requested more sounds from 80's albums like Grace Under Pressure and Power Windows. While I have noted these requests, I currently have other priorities, such as Floyd Keys Deluxe V.2. Rest assured, these sounds will come later.
